“I believe in you” said a client after victory in inheritance case in China

This is indeed a big victory after years of waiting. The messages were exchanged on March 29, 2023.

Sad as it is with any family dispute over estate, there is justice that should be upheld.

The other family members in a foreign country cheated China court and the executor by claiming to inherit China estates without disclosing the will that has been duly probated in the foreign country.  My client only discovered the other heirs’ scheme after those other heirs obtained a China court judgment in their favor.

We started from applying for a retail of the case based on fraudulent conduct on the part of the parties. This is a complicated case where the foreign will contained setup of testamentary trust over global estates include those in China. Unfortunately, China law doesn’t recognize such testamentary trust over real properties in China.

Nonetheless, after two hearings with Shenzhen court, we scored final victory whereby the court awarded right to manage, use and dispose of the China estates to the executor, our client. Hence, the client left those messages to Jason Tian via WeChat.
